An estimated 692,000 women will be diagnosed with some form of cancer in 2008. More than 260,000 of these women will be diagnosed with breast cancer or some type of gynecologic cancer.

According to the American Cancer Society:

One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during her lifetime.

One in 41 women will get endometrial cancer.

One in 71 women will get ovarian cancer.

More than 40,000 new cases of uterine cancer (uterine sarcoma) will be diagnosed in 2008.

More than 11,000 new cases of cervical cancer will be diagnosed in 2008.
